• This teaching resource introduces the work of Dr Meaghan Peuramaki-Brown and Matthew Longstaffe, Canadian archaeologists who are working with local Mayas in Belize to excavate an Ancestral Maya town.

• This resource also contains interviews with Meahgan and Matthew and offers an insight into careers in archaeology. If your students have questions for Meahgan and Matthew, they can send them through the Futurum Careers website.

• The activity sheet provides ‘talking points’ (based on Bloom’s Taxonomy) to prompt students to reflect on Meahgan and Matthew’s research and challenges them to follow an interactive dig.
