This is an KS2 Science powerpoint about ‘How physical activity can affect your heart rate?’ It takes the children through a process of understanding:
- Children recap the location and function of the heart.
- They learn to take a pulse.
- They investigate what happens to their heart rate during and after physical activity.
- They plot a line graph of their measurements and look for a pattern.
- They work out their own recovery rate.
- They answer the lesson question: ‘How does physical activity affect heart rate?’
