This KS3 lesson looks at how gender equality can increase development. Tasks are explicit throughout the slides and the work is differentiated and offers stretch and challenge tasks.

ICAN Bingo: Pupils note down 6 words from the list, the word has to be said by the teacher and on the board at the time for them to cross it off of the list. The winners go onto a leaderboard and a prize is awarded at the end of term.

The lesson includes focus on Malala Yousafzai and her role in campaigning for gender equality and education. -The World’s Largest Lesson ‘From Where I stand’ resources are used in this lesson.-

There is a guided reading activity included (extract and questions not my own), a data research homework and opportunity for data manipulation and presentation skills to be taught.

I hope this can be of some use and save you some planning time.

Thank you for the time you have put into creating this and then sharing. Has saved me lots of time and links perfectly into the SDG lesson I have for after it!
