









A stand alone lesson to introduce learners to Hyperbole. This lesson was done with a P7 (Second Level/ KS2) class.
Included:
- A lesson plan that I used with my class when teaching hyperbole.
- Optional puzzle active starter activity. The sheets can be cut whichever way is most convenient - no puzzle grid pieces to cut out.
- A presentation with active true/ false examples which also draw on prior knowledge of more well known examples of figurative language e.g. metaphors and similes.
- 3 worksheets on hyperbole - written task including task to create own hyperboles, connecting hyperbole with its meaning and a cut and stick to connect the hyperbole to its intended meaning.
- Extension task: hyperbole in songs
- Plenary hyperbolic loop cards
