I Spy for Categories and Classifying

I spy for categories and classifying is a resource of activities for Grades K, 1, 2, and 3. This resource is suitable for distance learning or teletherapy and is downloadable in a PDF format. Use I SPY to name the pictures in a given category or provide a clue (attribute/s) to guess the object.

The 10 categories included are farm animals, transportation, school supplies, toys, furniture, food, clothing, shapes, jobs and places. Each category contains the following information
1 page with 10 category pictures and 10 non-category pictures
1 page showing the 10 category pictures only to check for accuracy
1 page to sort category pictures by 5 given attributes
1 page listing the 10 category items and suggestions for expanding the use of the resource to include:

• Negation
• Comparing
• Contrasting
  • Brainstorming additional attributes
  • Asking ‘wh’ questions
