A single lesson in PowerPoint format that begins by asking students to create criteria that would indicate an economic recovery. Students are then tasked with comparing their criteria with those of an online encyclopedia. Students then analyze and discuss a diagram of the Dawes Plan and discuss any weaknesses inherent in the plan. Students then move on to create a graphic organizer in their notes that details the strengths and weaknesses of the Weimar economy. The lesson concludes with a debrief of their findings and a discussion of whether or not the economy of the Weimar Republic was fundamentally weak or not.
