This is a guide to the IGCSE History Paper 1 exam. It contains a breakdown of each type of question - a), b) and c). It contains mind maps and model answers for every unit for Option B, with Germany 1918-45 as the depth study. It also contains useful facts, quotes and statistics for each unit. All model answers are my own, and based on what is required for A* and A grades at IGCSE History. It does not contain material on Unit 7, the Gulf 1970 - 2000. This is really good Stuart. However, I have one question as I am new to the specification. Chapter 7 - Why did events in the Gulf matter? - This is not here. Does this mean that we don't have to teach this section of the core content?

Hi, thanks for the review. It is on the core content, but I made the decision for my 2017 batch that I wouldn't teach them Unit 7, as I am still acquiring resources for it. As they have a choice of 4 or 5 questions in section A, they don't have to answer a question from unit 7. The Gulf came up this year in the 2017 paper 1, but my students answered other questions, as I thought it would be better that they focused on units 1-6, rather than trying to teach them to answer unit 7 without good resources.
