We decided to take out top achiever year 8 English students on a trip to the Imperial War Museum IWM. As they were covering First World War Poetry. This was an ideal opportunity to overlap with History. Resources were designed for a pre trip session. With Post session requiring students to have completed the worksheets and also conduct an assembly to other students fir the trip to then have larger impact.
