This lesson looks at events in the Indian Rebellion, particularly looking at the siege of Cawnpore, and compare British and Indian brutal actions.

The lesson starts by the students looking at the Bengal tiger cartoon and inferring meaning. They then learn about the Indian and British actions and then go back to the cartoon to give contextual knowledge. The lesson then looks at short term and long term effects of the Indian Rebellion.

The lesson uses Oxford AQA GCSE History Thematic Studies textbook pages 226-227, although the blut AQA migration textbook workes here too.
