•Students task matching the white blood cell to it’s description + task linking content on physical and chemical defences (last lesson) to the roles of the white blood cells
•What inflammation is and what happens in inflammation
•What short-term (acute) and long-term (chronic) inflammation is
•Challenging flow chart activity where students try to map and link statements linked to inflammation response, and symptoms of short-term and long-term inflammation
•What are phagocytes + animated description of how they destroy pathogens
•Sequencing and gap fill task on the process of phagocytosis
