This lesson focuses on giving students an opportunity to evaluate technological innovations during the Victorian period and across the British Empire.
Students will first research the Great Exhibition before assessing individual areas of innovation (agriculture, medicine etc). The lesson also gives an opportunity to reflect on whether innovation was shared equally with all people across the British Empire.
This is a fully resourced lesson and was used as part of a wider scheme of work on the British Empire.
