Many of us only ever see war and conflict at the movies, or on the news. But war is real and has devastating consequences. People lose their belongings, their families, their lives and everything they know of. This drama that seems so far away, is the daily reality for people in conflict zones.

Conflicts continue to tear societies apart. The average level of global peacefulness has deteriorated for 11 of the last 14 years. (Global Peace Index-2022)

The International Day of Peace or World Peace Day is observed annually on the 21st of September; a special day seeking to promote peace among nations and peoples.

This age-appropriate presentation aims to;
• Foster greater understanding around the complexities of conflict and peace
• Encourage students to think more deeply about their world and consider their place within it
• Raise awareness of what people around the world have said about peace

Comprising of a;
