A good resource for use with the new GCSE (9-1) and for recap when looking at further mechanics in A-level. The lesson plan introduces the basic ideas of circular motion with notes to help students understand.

They then complete an activity looking at how various factors effect circular motion, helping them get familiar with the key idea that force is towards the centre of the circle.

Finally they apply their knowledge to answer a question about orbits. Students can peer mark this and AFL can be achieved by them placing a post it note on the board over the number of marks achieved by their partner, giving you a quick idea of the understanding of the group as a whole.

Instructions for the practical and a mark scheme for the question is included.
