This file contains an introduction to fingerpicking, a tablature explanation as well as two simple fingerpicking arrangements. This is perfect for introducing students to fingerpicking and explains the names for each finger as commonly found in classical guitar and many fingerpicking books.

The included arrangements are simple, melodic ideas and can be used as a starting point for students to create their own composition. The fingerpicking patterns included can be adapted to the included arrangements.

This is perfect as an introduction to fingerpicking and as the first step in learning to play finger style or classical guitar.

I highly recommend that students utilise the Giuliani studies once they have worked through these exercises. These studies can be utilised in many different ways and are great for exploring chord progressions.
