These practical sheets outline the experimental methods to investigate the reflection of light by a plane mirror and the refraction of light moving from air into glass. These resources are all pdf. files. They are designed for GCSE and IGCSE students (AQA, Edexcel, OCR, and Cambridge exam boards), but they can be easily modified for use with KS3 students.
The reflection practical sheet contains the aim of the practical, the list of apparatus, a photo of the experimental setup, a step-by-step method, table of results, risks and safety precautions, as well as questions about variables and data analysis. A link to an external video is also included at the end (aimed at students who need a recap of the law of reflection).
