Jekyll and Hyde SOW

Designed as a SOW for the AQA GCSE English Literature course, these resources introduce students to key aspects of context, such as Lombroso’s theory of L’uomo Delinquente, Freud’s psychoanalytic theory, the philosophical perspective Hobbes expressed in The Leviathon and the conventions of the gothic genre etc. The resource includes detailed questions on each chapter of The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, assisting students to analyse the authorial message of the novella (A03) as well as the methods through which Stevenson conveys this message (A02).
