THIS 6-WEEK PSHE UNIT helps children develop emotional awareness, personal safety and an understanding of boundaries. Designed for Years 1–2, it explores emotions, safe and unsafe situations, private and public places, permission and consent, and understanding private body parts through practical activities, discussion.

Pupils learn to recognise and name their emotions, understand how to stay safe in different environments, and develop awareness of personal boundaries. Children are taught the importance of asking for permission, respecting others, and knowing what is appropriate in public and private spaces in a clear, age-appropriate way.

THIS PSHE UNIT INCLUDES:

6 fully planned lessons with PowerPoint presentations
Lesson activities
Pre/Post Assessment
Curriculum objectives included on the final slide of each lesson

LESSON FOCUS:

  1. Recognising and understanding emotions
  2. Staying safe in different situations
  3. Understanding public and private places
  4. Learning about permission and consent
  5. Understanding private body parts (age-appropriate)
  6. Building confidence to speak up and seek help

Presentations should be viewed in slideshow mode to access animations and embedded links.
