This is the second lesson of a short unit of work on life in Norman England after the conquest. It is part of a larger scheme of learning on the Norman Conquest and William’s consolidation of power which is also available.

This lesson focuses on life on the manor in Norman England, and the conceptual focus is empathy - understanding the concept of manor living and what it was like for the peasants. It contains a variety of activities/video clips enabling students to analyse life. The power point is fully resourced.
