King John – Narrative Analysis Assessment (7/7) – Mini SOW

This seven-lesson scheme of work explores King John’s turbulent reign, from his disputes with his brother Richard the Lionheart, to his domestic and foreign policies, and the events leading to Magna Carta and the Baron’s War. Students examine both the causes and consequences of John’s decisions, with a strong focus on developing writing skills for historical analysis.

The SOW works well as a standalone unit but is also integrated into the free-to-play History game world at Wolsey Academy for a more interactive and immersive experience.
