This lesson focuses on the structure and growth of the KKK at various key moments in the civil rights era.
The lesson begins with a reveal image to pique students interest - not hard when looking at the KKK- students love it!
They will then watch a video clip relating to the KKK. Whilst watching the clip, students will complete the activity which asks them to explain the traditional stereotype of the KKK
The main task involves differentiated questions that I allocate to students specifically - yellow-purple - red - LA- MA - HA using the KKK info sheet for support if needed.
To finish, students reflect on the KKK significance through class discussion - not significant - very significant
