We have 100 minute lessons so this was designed as an enquiry for pupils to investigate Jewish food and write up their findings with an APP grid to help them. They can self-assess simply. For shorter lessons it could be split into two. I got a male teacher to read the David Apelbaum speech and videoed it to set up the enquiry. Pupils then worked their way around 6 tables with an activity on each (and eco-kashrut extension) making notes in their books as they went along. 'Dear Tina' assessment followed using APP grid.
