KS1 - Dear Mother Goose (4 Week Unit)

This pack includes four weeks’ worth of planning for ‘Dear Mother Goose’. This planning can be used for Year 1 and/or Year 2 (and has previously been used in a mixed Year 1/Year 2 class).

This includes:
• Day-by-Day Planning Document for Four Weeks (this includes/outlines all Lesson Objectives; Hook & Retrieval activities; Main Input & corresponding Activities for Year 1 and 2; and Plenary activities).
• Baseline Assessment activity and assessment sheets for both Year 1 and 2.
• End of Unit Assessment sheets for both Year 1 and 2.
• A ‘Front Cover’ outlining the unit aims, for use on your Literacy display/in the children’s books to indicate the new unit.
• Tiered vocabulary explanation and examples.
• Three PowerPoints (total of 6 slides) to support teaching.
• Nine templates to support scaffolding and learning (inc. text structures, sentence starters, proofreading templates/examples, book review template, and a writing template for the final write).
