KS2 Christmas play script - Santa Needs a Holiday

A secular Christmas play script designed for a KS2 year group of 90 children, lasting approx 45 mins with song, dance, backdrop and prop ideas. The script can be altered to reduce or create more parts according to year group size. There are big speaking, small speaking and non-speaking parts as well as opportunties for dancers and musicians to play along with the songs. The choir could sing where song suggestions have been made. The play is called ‘Santa Needs a Holiday’. The plot is centered around Santa and 2 of his reindeer travelling to 4 different countries to escape the monotony of the North Pole. He travels to Hawaii, Brazil, France and Spain before deciding he misses home too much and so they all return to the North Pole. This play was performed in 2024 by a year 4 cohort and was very well recieved. Some parents and carers came twice to watch it and the children loved performing it.
