KS2 English Reading Practice SATs Style Papers

Two KS2 practice Reading SATs style papers with mark schemes. These papers can be used as eleven separate testing resources or as two individual papers. Paper 1 contains 31 questions totaling 43 marks and paper 2 has 33 questions totaling 50 marks. They cover the whole range of the reading skills required and contain a range of examination style questions including: select and retrieve questions; inference and deduction questions; summary questions; prediction questions and word meaning questions. Paper 1 can be used as either five separate short tests or as one full paper. Paper 2 can be used as six separate short tests or as one full paper. This is because the questions from each paper are based on a different chapter of a book. Consequently, all of the questions test pupils ability to read a narrative text. All of the questions are based on the text ‘The Monsters of Rookhaven’ by Padraic Kenny. You will require a copy of this as the extracts are not included here.
