This is a fun, interactive resource which contains a quiz for students to find out their preferred learning style. It is suitable for KS2, KS3 and KS4 students. This could be used as an activity to complete in form time, as part of a PSHE lesson, on an enrichment day or as part of an an appointment with a learning mentor/form tutor. As well as providing pupils insight into how they learn best, it encourages meta-cognition and allows them to become more independent in their learning and identify strategies to retain information more effectively, potentially in collaboration with other pupils or a teacher. It could also help them to explore potential career paths in accordance with their preferred learning style.
The quiz gets students to answer 20 questions, picking one of three options for each question. Upon completion, students will find they learn best in one of three ways: seeing, listening or doing. The quiz corresponds to the VAK model of learning.
