A themed set of up to 12, one hour, detailed session plans (with equipment lists) for a KS2, after school, STEM Club. For use by Teachers, Teaching Assistants and STEM ambassadors.
Although there may be some overlap with curriculum topics, the activities have not been planned to meet classroom curriculum objectives. They aim to widen the pupil’s experience of STEM in a hands on, enjoyable way.
The session titles are 1) Number Substitution Codes. 2) Morse Code (written). 3)Morse Code (sound and light). 4) Code stick. 5) Concertina Code. 6) Design Your own Picture Code. 7) Alphabet Substitution (Caesar shifts). 8) Square Cipher. 9) Tap Code. 10)Red Blue Code. 11) Double Encoding (Caesar and Square) 12) Design Your Own Compass Code
