This is a full scheme of work on Programme Music and covers The Sorcerers Apprentice by Paul Dukas and Holsts The Planets. I have created this with Year 7 students in mind. It comes with three differentiated booklets for your students, booklet A is for lower ability, booklet B is middle ability and booklet C is upper ability. Comes with lesson plans and PowerPoints for each lesson.
This has 3 listening style lessons, and also 3 practical lesson, comes with scores for students to learn how to play part of The Planets on the keyboards and also a composition idea if you have computers / garageband available which could take a few lessons.
The first listening lesson comes with a youtube link for The Sorcerers Apprentice film clip, however you will need to source a copy of The Planets as you will need snippets of each movement.
