HOW IS THE PROGRAMME ORGANISED?
Year 7 establishes safe working, accurate measurement and clear recording.
Year 8 develops repeat measurements, data processing, graph interpretation and more complex techniques.
Year 9 builds independence through investigation planning, uncertainty, gradients, evaluation and communication.
Each year includes eight skills lessons followed by a two-session assessed investigation.
Use the programme in sequence or select individual activities to support your existing curriculum. It is designed around practical skills progression and does not replace a school’s full KS3 science curriculum.
The teacher-first layout keeps preparation and questioning guidance together, while separate student pages make printing straightforward.
Draft risk assessments are provided for adaptation. Teachers must check activities against their school’s procedures, current safety guidance and available equipment before use.
