A resource including four essay questions with a teacher-written model paragraph for students to respond to on Shakespeare’s presentation of Hermia in A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
(The questions are taken from and build the preparation lessons in my collection - Exploring the character of Hermia but can also be attempted independently of these resources).
Resource includes:
opportunities for metacognition
teacher-written model paragraph (with highlighted quotations) on a similar question with specific questions to direct students’ attention to the ingredients needed in an analysis paragraph and how they should be integrated together.
alternative suggestions (in the notes section) for teachers who don’t feel their students are ready for a full essay but who would like to use the models and activities to help support their students’ essay writing skills.
I was expecting "teacher written models on a similar question" to an essay question. No models are included. Only one PEE paragraph.

Hello Renee,
I'm very sorry to hear that you were disappointed with the resource. The model provided is a paragraph as the resource is intended to be displayed as students are writing a summative full essay as a guide. I find it is important not to overwhelm students with too much information when their focus is on their own writing. (We often look at full essays in preparation or feedback lessons.) I can see, however, how the description is unclear as to the model provided and have updated it accordingly - I'm very sorry that this was not made clear to you when you purchased. The model paragraph displayed is a more complex paragraph with the intention of supporting students to go beyond the PEE structure and is colour-coded with prompt questions to guide this.
There are also suggested alternative activities for classes who are not quite ready for writing a full essay independently. Hopefully, while the resource was not quite what you were looking for, you will still be able to make use of the slides and activities provided.
I hope you have a lovely New Year.
Charlotte
