Class activity. Students have learnt breakfast topic. Photocopy sheets back to back and cut out so each student has a slip with an Italian word on one side and English on the other (they should not have the same meaning). First student reads out the Italian word on their slip, the student with the English on their slip reads it out, turns their slip over and reads out the Italian word on the other side. This continues until you have gone through all the slips/students and return to the student who started. You can time this and get the class to beat their time, and beat other classes' times.

I have made some modifications to suit my class but I can't wait to play this with them next week. Did you know that the Italian word for coffee is very close to a very rude word in Samoan? I do now because there are a lot of islander students at my school. I now use cappuccino instead of coffee for all activities :-)
