Lois Ehlert’s book ‘Leaf Man’
- Leaf Man outdoor resource sheet for children to find items outside. There are different versions of sheets to use. Decide on the sheet based on the resources you have in school. Staff will need to have a few props available to hide outside.
Children circle all the things that the leaf man spots on his travels then they go off and find some of these.
There should be at least 5 of each.
- Carrots or potatoes
- Toy butterflies, cows or chickens
- Leaves
Have 4 trays/baskets available to place them into. Children count all the items back at base camp. You can also hide the sight words around and match up with items.
