Lego sentence structure visual aid

A visual aid perfect for supporting sentence building in Year 1/KS1. The children in my Year 1 class love these! These Lego themed cards can be stuck to tables, added to an English display board or pinned up somewhere in your learning space to support children. Making them Lego themed means you can use actual Lego alongside them to make it a practical and visual representation of building a sentence:

• The foundation brick is green to signal ‘go’ to make sure each sentence starts with a capital letter.

• The top brick is red to signal ‘stop’ to end each sentence with a full stop.

• Middle bricks: add detail to make sentences more exciting (not every sentence needs all 3 middle bricks)
