This lesson is designed around the topic of Movies, which personally, my Year 10 Chinese ESL students absolutely engaged in and adored. The lesson is structured around teaching different movie genres- some which the stronger students may know already if in grade 10, however, this lesson may easily be used in year 9 too. Students particularly enjoyed identifying movies they have watched according to pictures in the presentation, watching a movie scene from Zootopia, and answering questions on the scene as a competition.

Students are able to use the target vocabulary appropriately and with the correct pronunciation.:

Furthermore, students should use target vocabulary and English in general confidently and with ease.
Included is a comprehensive lesson plan and ready to go presentation. My presentation includes a review of words at the beginning of the lesson I have covered previously, however, the picture and words may easily be replaced to tailor to your students needs.
