This short unit of 7 lessons was used to teach our own qualification which is based on the Edexcel A Level, so could be adapted to teach Salome as a coursework text.
If you have a very able group who need to study something high-level, super symbolic and write some detailed analysis, integrating context and critical comment, look no further.
I’ve included the whole text as well as some links to online resources and reviews as well as critical commentaries. There’s a smattering of relevant context too. If you’re able to get the Berkoff production on DVD, it is mentioned but not obligatory.
It’s a brilliant text and these lessons helped my class produce degree-level writing about it.
