27 illustrated speaking-skills activity sheets and two pages of teachers’ notes in a 33-page PDF. Workplace situations provide practical contexts for spoken English, particularly for KS4, with KS3 use also identified in the publication.

Topics include listening, body language, asking questions, making enquiries, interviews, persuasion, negotiation, handling complaints, personal and formal meetings, presentations and telephone communication. Explanations and role-play exercises help students practise different aspects of communication.

Use sheets individually, as support for work experience, or as a lesson series in English, communication, careers or PSHE. Teachers introduce the topic and support a group atmosphere in which students can practise confidently. The notes give suggestions for use and further work.
