Each sheet presents a passage containing errors for students to identify and correct. The errors gradually become more complex while vocabulary remains controlled. Different writing forms provide varied contexts and opportunities for discussion and oral work.

Topics include sentence punctuation, capital letters, commas, paragraphing, direct speech, apostrophes, homophones, subject–verb agreement, spelling patterns, plurals, double negatives and improving word choice. Selected sheets can be used for testing or revision.

Use activities to reinforce language points students have already learnt, introducing the relevant point before setting individual classwork or homework. Teachers’ notes provide aims, classroom management, answers and differentiation or extension suggestions where relevant. General teaching guidance is included.
