Literacy: Onset & Rime flashcards, rhyming words

This resource is a set of 17 word endings plus initial sounds to accompany them. These pages should be laminated and cut out to make 17 different onset and rime activity cards. The ending of the word can be moved up and down along the strip of initial letters/blends. This is a great resource for blending, reading simple words and for identifying the part of a word that makes it rhyme with another word. You could make a class set and use this resource for reading in class and/or homework, or just make enough for a group to use as part of station teaching or for early finishers.
