Designed to increase boys participation and enthusiasm when working in Literacy.The table group names are fictional football teams that are linked to different classes of words.
They can also be used in conjunction with the league table, adults give points for whatever they wish to, the table with the most points after a week/half term etc.
I find it useful when changing table groups for any reason to talk about children transferring from one team to another or when outside of the transfer window - joining a team on loan with a view to a permanent transfer.
