LKS2 Olympic Legends Reading Comprehension Bundle

A reading comprehension activity bundle with six activities about some sporting legends from Olympic history. The activities, which each have an informational text with comprehension and grammar questions followed by an extension task, are about the following Olympic stars:

• Jesse Owens
• Usain Bolt
• Simone Biles
• Muhammed Ali
• Michael Phelps
• Serena Williams

The NO PREP informational text activities are perfect for students in Year 3 or Year 4 studying about the Olympic Games. Students will learn about the famous Olympians whilst developing their comprehension skills.

Included in each of the six PDF printable activities:

• An informational text
• A comprehension activity with ten questions
• Two grammar questions about the text
• An extension writing activity
• An answer sheet for self-assessment or teacher use

Each activity requires NO PREP; they have a body of text that students need to read through thoroughly; then they can use the text to find the comprehension and grammar answers. 5 minutes - read through the text individually.
40 minutes - answer questions using the text as guidance (including extension activity)
15 minutes - Teacher and students go through the text and answers.
