Long vowel sound worksheets

This is a great resource. A set of long vowel sound speed read sheets. There are nine sheets altogether. The first five are mixed long vowel sounds, the final four are specific to each vowel sound ie first is long vowel 'a' and so on. There are ten words on each sheet repeated over four additional columns. Children read each word going down the first column and then carry across the page until all five columns are read. Timing the reading of the sheets helps the child see how much they have improved in their speed and recognition of words without the need to decode each time.
