Shape recognition, color patterns, visual discrimination, and logical thinking activities for preschool and kindergarten. No-prep printable worksheets for independent or guided practice.

Can your students figure out which shape is missing?

In these playful visual puzzles, colorful shapes “cross the road” — but one shape gets lost along the way! Children study each row, find the missing shape, and put it back in the correct place.

But there is one more challenge: Which color never gets lost? After completing the five puzzles, children need to look at their work again, compare the patterns, and figure out which color appeared every time. They then use that discovery to color the large shape with a funny face.

The activity combines simple shape and color recognition with a small logic challenge, encouraging children to slow down, compare, notice patterns, and think carefully before answering.
