A reading and research activity in the form of a scavenger hunt focussing on the lungs and the respiratory system. There are 25 questions to answer which require the pupils to locate the card, read the short paragraph and answers questions based on either prior learning or as a research task.

The resource gives 25 questions about the lungs, although it does not give any answer cards, so not very helpful.
I printed the resources questions - altering several of them to suit my scheme of work - and then hid them around the lab in all sorts of "spooky" places e,g. in a skeleton. inside a model brain/eye/heart etc, as well as covering some in slime! I played some Halloweenh music and off the pupils went on their scavenger hunt. The plenary consisted of assessment and awarding of levels/prizes to the high scorers. Pupils loved this lesson, especially as it coincided with halloween, and sir getting into the spirit of the day!
