Macbeth- A fun and Interactive Classroom Activity to introduce the play

An Exciting Way to introduce the Plot, Action, Themes and Characters in William Shakespeare’s Macbeth

This double sided Word Document and detailed Teacher instructions allow any classroom teacher to introduce Macbeth, THE SCOTTISH PLAY.

Particularly in the COVID classroom it can be difficult to introduce Plays to GCSE classes. This resource allows most ability groups to actively participate in a fun and exciting English / Drama activity. (No Drama teaching experience required.)

After approximately 1 or 2 lessons the class should have a basic working knowledge of Key Plot Points, Major themes and crucial Characters.

This is all done in a memorable fashion which should “make it stick”.

Recently adapted in 2020 to suit a COVID classroom in a realistic manner this activity is perfect as it can be done seated in rows, but still remain fun and interactive.
