Pupils use an atlas or the internet to complete 4 separate worksheets. The challenges include: continents; countries and capitals; physical features; locations in the UK. I give them as homework and then give pupils a quiz at the start of the next lesson. These are the kind of building blocks that help pupils later on with 'describe the pattern' style questions. They are also &'just good general knowledge&';.
