Estimating population size.

This KS5 lesson gives your students the opportunity to carry out Mark-Release-Recapture in the lab! The content covers specification points from AQA Alevel Biology 3.7.4.

The lesson includes a powerpoint and worksheets with notes, tips, instructions and questions that allow your students to conduct an ecology practical within the lab using mini-marshmallows or similar which allows them to fully understand the technique. There is also a helpful ‘Teacher Notes’ document.

The lesson ends with an A level style exam questions to allow you to easily assess progress.
