## Maths KS4 The nth term worksheet

This worksheet is a good lesson's work if not two. It is designed to cover all Foundation GCSE work on the nth term as laid out by the Edexcel specification. Answers, for once, are included but there may be the odd mistake.

<p>GCSE Solving simultaneous equations using a graphical method. </p><p> This worksheet only has straight line graphs. No curves. </p><p> I haven’t put numbers on the axes (way too fiddly in word when I’m on a time limit) but they are intended to go up in ones. As always, if you use it - please review it. Eek! Q6 has a slight mistake. It should be -x+y</p>

#### Maths: Percentages without a calculator worksheets

Need to spice up this rather dry topic.
For this dot to dot have students join question number to answer, e.g. Q1 find 10% of 80 so join 1 to 8. You must say to them to then do Q8 rather than 2 for two reasons:
1. it's quicker as you know where dot 8 is and don&'t need to waste time searching for dot 2.
2. The questions gradually get harder around the shape.

#### Pie charts with circles drawn - worksheet

We all know how long it can take students to draw pie charts. This worksheet at least allows them to save time on drawing a tables and a circle.
The first page have angles that are exact, the second page need angles to be rounded.

#### Quadratic Graph worksheet

These two worksheets are for drawing quadratic graphs.
Both are similar and I allowed students to use a calculator but that's up to you. As always, if you use it - please review it.

#### Linear Graphs Introductory Lesson

Linear Graphs Introductory Lesson<br />
<br />
Aimed at lower ability students. This lesson introduces linear graphs using function machines and by plotting coordinates.<br />
<br />
Starter: Coordinates - Differentiated activity (Old L4/5)<br />
I personally have the first slide printed and laminated to allow students to write on them using whiteboard pens. Students may focus on 1st quadrant only or all 4 quadrants dependant on ability.<br />
<br />
Main: Naming linear graphs by analysing coordinates (simple questions e.g. x=2, y=4)<br />
Plotting linear graphs by generating coordinates from a function machine.<br />
<br />
Suitable for KS3/KS4, lower ability but could be adapted for more able KS3 students.<br />
<br />
Credit given to 'New National Framework 7 book' and 'New Maths Frame working 7 workbook' for scanned in questions.
