Transforming the cat is great as an enthusiastic starter to a lesson on Matrix Transformations. Alternatively give each student a copy of the file and let them investigate the different transformations. They will also learn about Excel. If you have dog lovers, let me know and I'll set up the dog spreadsheet(dog only available for plotting coordinates at the moment). If you are teaching at Christmas or Easter, there is also a transformation Santa and Bunny! beats just using the unit square.
