A ready-to-use continuation of the introductory GCSE German Media and Technology lessons, designed to build on students’ existing knowledge of social media, internet use and key topic vocabulary.

The first lesson develops grammar within the topic by introducing and practising direct and indirect object pronouns in context. Students revise previously learned social media vocabulary before working with accusative and dative pronouns such as ihn, sie, es, ihm, ihnen, uns and dir.

The accompanying pronoun worksheet supports this grammar focus with explanations, examples and a pronoun table, followed by sentence completion and translation practice.

The second lesson then applies this knowledge more broadly to talking about the internet, with a particular focus on cyberbullying, online safety and personal internet use. Students learn useful higher-level vocabulary, read a text about Cybermobbing, answer comprehension questions in German and practise discussing their own internet habits.

The resources include:

  • Retrieval of previously learned social media vocabulary
  • Direct and indirect object pronouns
  • Accusative and dative pronoun practice
  • Sentence completion and translation tasks
  • Vocabulary linked to cyberbullying and online safety
  • Extended reading comprehension
  • German comprehension questions
  • Discussion of safe internet use
  • Personal speaking questions about internet habits
  • English–German translation linked to social media

Suitable for KS4/GCSE German and designed as a natural progression from introductory Media and Technology lessons, moving students from core vocabulary into more complex grammar, reading and discussion.

Includes two PowerPoint lessons and an accompanying object pronouns worksheet.
