We all feel worried, tense or fearful sometimes. These are normal responses to certain situations. But if you live with an anxiety disorder these feelings of fear and danger can be ongoing and impact the ability to live your life as fully as you want to.

According to Mental Health UK, a little over 1 in 10 of us will be living with an anxiety disorder at any one time; that’s over 8 million people. But everyone’s experience of anxiety disorders is different.

This age-appropriate, assembly aims to;
• Raise awareness around anxiety
• Offer suggestions as to where support can be accessed
• Give students a number of strategies which can be used to help and support themselves, friends and families with their mental wellbeing

Comprising of a;
• 31-slide PowerPoint presentation
• Detailed accompanying script
• Music accompaniment
• Relevant prayer

This resource can be used as a stand-alone assembly and/or as part of your Mental Health Awareness activities.
