Summary of passage

Michael Phelps, a famous swimmer, was born in 1985 in Baltimore, Maryland. Despite facing challenges with ADHD, swimming became his outlet. He competed in his first Olympics at 15 and went on to win a total of 23 gold medals, becoming the most decorated Olympian of all time. His biggest achievement came in 2008 when he won eight gold medals in a single Olympics. Throughout his career, Phelps faced numerous challenges but his love for swimming and desire to be the best kept him going. He has since retired but remains involved in the sport through his foundation promoting water safety and encouraging kids to stay active.
